How to make Savoury Diamond Cuts?

Savoury Diamond Cuts are crispy tasty snack made by flat rolling dough made with plain flour and spices, cutting them in diamond shapes and frying it.


1/2 cup plain flour

1/2 tsp red chilli powder

1 tsp butter

1 tsp garlic paste

1/4 tsp carom seed

1/4 tsp sesame seeds

salt to taste

1/4 tsp chat masala powder or amchur powder

oil to deep fry


Mix red chilli powder with little water to a runny paste.

In a mixing bowl add plain flour, red chilli paste, garlic paste, butter, jeera, sesame seeds, salt and mix well first.

Then add water little by little and knead it to a soft dough. Set aside for 15 mins.

Knead it again and divide into equal lemon sized balls.Take a portion and roll it into a thin circle. Cut into small diamond shapes.

Heat oil and carefully drop the diamond shapes and cook in medium low flame.

Deep fry till golden brown and drain in tissue paper and add chat masala powder and mix well.

Cool down and store Savoury Diamond Cuts in an airtight container.
