Coconut Milk Murukku/ Chakli/ Crunchy Snack is a flavourful, tasty savoury made to be enjoyed at home as an evening tea time snack.
1 cup rice flour
1/4 cup urad dal flour
1/2 cup thick coconut milk
1/4 tbsp butter
1/2 tsp jeera
salt to taste
oil to deep fry
water as needed
In a mixing bowl, add rice flour, urad dal flour, jeera, salt and butter.
Mix well and add thick fresh coconut milk and water to form a smooth dough.
Grease the murukku press and fill with dough.
Heat oil and start making shapes and fry them.
Make sure it gets cooked evenly on both sides, turn over accordingly. Take it out when the colour is golden brown on both the sides.
Drain in tissue, cool down completely and then store in airtight container.
