How to make Vermicelli Kheer?

Vermicelli Kheer is a tasty, popular dessert made by simmering milk with roasted vermicelli, flavoured with cardamom and garnished with ghee roasted

cashews and raisins.


1 cup roasted vermicelli

1 and 1/2 cups water

4 cups milk

1/2 cup sugar

1/4 tsp cardamom powder

15 nos cashews

1 tbsp raisins


Heat 2 tsp ghee and fry cashews and then raisins until turning golden and set aside.

Add roasted vermicelli to 1 and 1/2 cup boiling water and give a quick mix.

Cook covered until 85% done. Then add the full cream milk and cook for 2 minutes.

Add 1/2 cup sugar and cook for few more mins until vermicelli starts to float on top and the kheer is creamy.

Add 1/4 tsp cardamom powder and fried cashews and raisins.

Give a mix and enjoy the delicious kheer.
