How to make Paneer Pav Bhaji?

Pav bhaji is a spiced mixture of mashed vegetables in a thick gravy served with bread.


1 cup chopped onions

1 cup panner

1 cup chopped tomatoes

2 cups chopped cauliflower

1 cup green peas

1 cup chopped cabbage

1 cup grated carrot

4 boiled potatoes

2 tbsp chopped garlic

1 tsp finely chopped green chilli

4 boiled and mashed potatoes

4 tsp pav bhaji masala

1 tsp lemon juice

salt to taste

For Garnishing

1/2 tsp butter

1/4 cup finely chopped onions

1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves


1.Heat some oil in a heavy bottom pan. Saute the finely chopped green chilli, ginger, garlic, and onion. Stir until onions turn brown.

2. Add chopped tomatoes and saute until cooked. Now add the mashed potatoes, cabbage, cauliflower, carrots, peas and paneer.

3. add ½ cup water adjusting consistency as required

3. Add the pav bhaji masala and add water as required. Cover and cook for 15 to 20 minutes.

4. Add salt and lemon juice.

5. Garnish with chopped onion, coriander, green chilli and grated cheese.

6. Toast the pavs(buns) on a flat pan and spread butter.

7. Serve hot with the gravy.
