How to make beetroot cutlet?

A cutlet is a spiced vegetable mash that is shallow fried and make a nice evening snack.


1 Cup Grated Beetroot
4 medium Boiled Potatoes
1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
1 tsp Cumin Powder
1/2 tsp Garam Masala
1/2 tsp Coriander Powder
A pinch of Chaat Masala
salt as needed


1.Grate the beetroot and squeeze out all the excess water from it.
2.In a large bowl, add mashed potato, beetroot and mix them properly.
3.Then add all the dry ingredients like salt, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and chaat masala.
4.Now give a good mix and make small balls from the mixture.
5.Flatten them out then shallow fry them on tawa with some ghee or can also bake them.
6.Serve with mint chutney or tomato ketchup and enjoy.
