How to make Garlic Kara Sev/ Spicy Crunchy Snack?

Garlic Kara Sev is a spicy snack to be enjoyed at home as an evening tea time snack.

Ingredients

1/2 cup gram flour

1/2 cup rice flour

3 big cloves garlic

1/8 tsp cooking soda

3/4 tsp red chilli powder

1/4 tsp pepper powder

1 tbsp hot oil

salt to taste

Method

Grind garlic into a smooth paste by adding a tsp of water.

In a mixing bowl add gram flour, rice flour, garlic paste, pepper powder, red chilli powder,required salt and mix well.

Now add 1 tbsp hot oil and mix again.

Now add water little by little to form a smooth slightly sticky dough.

Grease the murukku press and fill with dough.

Heat oil and start making shapes and fry them.

Make sure it gets cooked evenly on both sides, turn over accordingly. Take it out when the colour is golden brown on both the sides.

Drain in tissue, cool down completely and then store in airtight container.
