How to make Almond Kheer?

Almond Kheer is a yummy dessert made by simmering almonds with milk & flavoured with saffron.

Ingredients

1 litre full fat milk

1/2 cup heaped almonds

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 tsp saffron

1/4 tsp cardamom powder

a pinch nutmeg

Method

Soak almonds in hot water for an hour and peel the skin and then boil almonds with water for 5-7 mins.

Grind it a semi coarse paste.

Boil the milk and add saffron and simmer for 5 mins. Then add the sugar and cardamom powder. Mix it well.

Simmer for 7-10 mins until milk thickens. Then add the grinded almond paste.

Mix it well without any lumps. Boil for 2 mins and finally add a pinch nutmeg.

Give a mix and enjoy the delicious kheer.
